Open Heart Art is guided by Suzon Lucore, artist, instructor, and storyteller.
As an artist for over 40 years, I started Open Heart Art as a guided opportunity to help artists or those who want to express their creativity, painting loosely with freedom from completing what some say is “representational art.” I saw many who spent so much time struggling with starting a painting or drawing that I knew there was a better way to paint more freely without concern about the finished project. It's a free-flowing, spontaneous method that prioritizes personal expression and emotional release over technical precision. Bring an open heart and experience letting go.
Bridge to Serenity - 4x8' in nine hours total
When I was compelled to paint this work, I started with a roller and covered the canvas loosely with four colors. I needed more peace and serenity in my life. By the end of the day, it was nearly complete. The next day, I finished it totaling nine hours. My higher power was definitely guiding me. I call it Bridge to Serenity. Colors contain energy that can be seen, felt, and interpreted. And the energy of colors can be very influential.

Intuitive Painting: This is a process of creating art without a fixed plan or predetermined outcome. The artist relies on their intuition, allowing colors, shapes, and forms to emerge naturally. Artists' Talk
Join us for an artists' talk session where you can learn about the inspirations behind the artwork and interact with the artists themselves. After a brief meditation of one to three minutes, we will share what we want to experience in our session. Then, after our painting process, we will talk about our experiences.

Spirit Guided: Artists' Workshop
Spirit Guided: This suggests that the creative process is influenced or directed by a spiritual force, inner wisdom, or higher consciousness. Artists who create in a spirit-guided manner may feel that their work is inspired by a connection to something greater than themselves, whether that be the universe, a higher power, or their own spiritual journey. This connection can make one feel part of a larger whole.
Artwork Submission
If you're a local artist and would like to showcase your artwork in our gallery, submit your artwork for consideration. We're always looking for new talent. Email guide@openheartart.com with images of your work. 81% of all proceeds will go to the artist if they manage the exchange of any transaction. We ask for a 19% referral fee for hosting the galler.
